Sony Co announced its new Playstation (PS3)slim edition gaming console. The new Slim version of the PS3 has the model number of CECH-2000A. The new Sony PS3 slim comes with 120GB inbuilt hard drive and is powered by Cell Broadband Engine, RSX GPU, 26MB XDR Main RAM and 256MB GDDR3 video RAM.

The slim edition of the Sony Playstation 3 comes with a mattblack finish so that fingerprints will not be seen on the PS3. Other Features of new PS3 slim includes a Blu-ray drive, Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth , Bluetooth wireless controller , HDMI connector and supports BRAVIA Sync which allows the user to control the system using BRAVIA TV remote.

The new Sony Playstation 3 Slimmer gaming console will be available from September 1 in US, Europe and Asia and is priced US$299 or Euro 299.
